Description
● HDPE Flange Adapter, also called HDPE stub flange or HDPE stub end, is a cost effective, easy to assemble, mechanical joint intended to connect HDPE pipe to any flange piping components (such as valves, pumps..etc) without the need for costly fusion equipment.
● When joining to metal or to certain other piping materials, or if a HDPE pipe section capable of disassembly is required, HDPE flange adaptor or HDPE stub flange are available. These items are designed so that one end matches the HDPE pipe for a butt fusion connection, the opposite end contains a stub that provides structural support. By utilizing the addition of a steel backup ring, it permits bolting to a similar flanged end connection to another pipe, of various possible materials.
● HDPE flange adaptor shall be assembled together with steel backup rings (G.I. backing rings). Steel bolts/nuts & rubber gaskets will be also requested.
